The place is warm and cosy. The room was clean and comfortable. Shower pressure was excellent. We specifically asked for a room with a balcony and that is what we got.

The room was quite spacious and had an excellent view. The bathroom was clean, and the shower had warm water all the time. I didn't get to use the spa, so if you are coming here, do bring a swimsuit.

They try to do everything to please you and always with a smile. The breakfast has good variety and everything is fresh and it's replaced really quick and often. You can also do some special orders. We actually had some cake and asked if they could make us one to take home and they did. The rooms are big and the beds are super confortable. The view is beautiful and you can buy a picnic basket and go for a picnic at a beautiful place that they recommend. Overall I would really recommend, we loved it.

Madre De Água Hotel Rural de Charme se nachází na farmě produkující víno, sýr a olivový olej, jen 5 minut jízdy od města Gouveia, na svazích hory Serra da Estrela. This is small family hotel with great pool and very good vine and food. If you need anything more for breakfast, they serve you. Staff is also great. On our trip over Portugal we have stayed in five 4 star hotels (mostly small like this) and this was the best.

The staff were so friendly and very accommodating and the food was amazing. The room and facilities were great and very clean.

Staff and Service. Top notch where nothing is too much trouble. Everyone has a smile and the overall vibe is delightful. There was an issue with WiFi in my room and it was responded to quickly and effectively. Food. Absolutely wonderful. The dinner menu at 40 Euros is a bargain... apertif, amuse boche, breads, starter, soup, main, dessert, and coffee. The food is well prepared and the portions are ample. I note the size of portions is much better than a previous stay seven years ago. Room. I stayed in the suite and love its ambience. Snacks. From 4 PM to 6 PM there is a selection of snacks... sweet and savory. They are diverse and change every day.

Wunderfully decorated and clean house. The hosts were really welcoming and gave us a tour through their house of memories, that we will remember. Breakfast was a dream!
