Stately Stuttgart is friendly and green. Surrounding the city are tree-lined hills, while in the center is the ‘Green U’, a series of parks and gardens that make great picnic spots.
The city’s focal point, Schlossplatz is a huge square with a tall column marking the entrance to the New Palace. Dating back to the 10th century, the city’s Old Palace is just opposite and its square is the site of the Stuttgart Christmas markets.
In the Bad Cannstatt area of Stuttgart are mineral spas, the 2nd largest in Europe behind Budapest. Just south of here is what the city is perhaps best known for – its car industry. Head to the architecturally-impressive Mercedes-Benz World for a spiraling walk through its history. On the opposite side of the city is the Porsche Museum, also worth a look.
Always something of a pioneer, the city erected the world’s first TV tower. Go to the top for amazing views. Other interesting Stuttgart attractions are the planetarium, and Stuttgart Zoo, housed in the Wilhelma Palace, built in Moorish style and once home to royals.
Before heading to Stuttgart Airport from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or B&B, make sure that you try some local Swabian food. The brezel (pretzel) originated here and makes a very tasty snack.

I've expected to find more for such a rich city, one of the richest from Germany. They invested nothing in urban style, the access to the main railway main station is horrible because of the works there - which apparently will be a long stay of order, at last more 10 years from now and an unpractical general plan of this construction, with more cement and than green areas. missing of functional elevators for handicap people, poor offer in the shops from the central commercial street, poor offer in the malls, absence of relaxing areas, terrible air pollution, some central areas with no street cleaning services, garbage, boring architecture.
conclusion: an old industrial town, with an total unsustainable and unaesthetic urban plan.

Airport is outdated.
Airport is outdated. Airport staff is not helpful sometimes rude. I was patted down by security and the lady raised up my shirt to my bra and then turned my waistband down and felt around in my pants. While I understand that security is necessary this kind of check should have been done behind a screen. I felt very exposed. Also the person checking carry on doesn’t know the rules, I had a deodorant that was 90 ml and he said he had to take it because it was not meeting guidelines. I checked guidelines and it doesn’t allow liquid and deodorant sprays that are 100 ml. Every time we come through the Stuttgart airport there is something. Never have problems going through Munich, Paris, London.

Stuttgart was a relatively clean city when I last stayed there - pre-Covid. Now it is dirty and still suffering from the Stuttgart 21 ambitions. Most of the time we ate at the hotel for convenience.

The centre is lovely: the Koenigsplatz and nearby, particularly when the sun is shining, is a good place to drink a coffee.
We always love the Stiftskirche: sometimes an organ is playing in there. The Markt is amazing: we usually buy things there. We recommend the excellent Italian restaurant on its first floor.
The parks are lovely too. Although the new railway station is a mess, one can still get to green places.
We also love the shops, particularly the old Stuttgart ones like Tritschler and Breuninger.

There are precisely two things worth visiting in Stuttgart - the Mercedes Museum & the Porsche Museum. There is nothing else of any interest there whatsoever, If you get to Stuttgart in the evening, stay over, then you can easily visit these two places in a day then leave - I wouldn't even bother staying a second night.
There are a couple of good restaurants around, but nothing so good that you makes it stand out from other cities.
We made a stop in Stuttgart when returning from our holiday in Italy. Stuttgart is a great city and the Park Inn Hotel was perfect. Clean, comfortable beds and shower and friendly staff, especially one lady, who was very flexible, we arrived last minute and getting two adjacent rooms (because we have 3 young kids) is always a challenge but she arranged everything perfectly well. The hotel is located in a very nice neighbourhood, only 15-20 min walk from the city center. We had dinner at Onkel Otto, great local schnitzel restaurant!
We were re-routed to Stuttgart after 2 cancelled flights to Munich. We took a chance on the Arcotel and found it to be lovely! We enjoyed a dinner at the hotel restaurant the first night after a long 2 days of travel. The next we had an easy walk to the Christmas Market. The location was great- super close to the train station! The hotel staff were so helpful with my lost luggage situation. We found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay any time we find ourselves in Stuttgart!
The hotel is just 1,5 km far from city center, and there are metro stops in the nearby too. The car parking in the hotel underground costs 10€/night. The breakfast is perfect, large choice for a salted or sweet breakfast (12,90€/night). The single room was big and comfortable, with everything you need (apart from minibar. But you can go the bar of the reception H24). Room and the hotel in general is very clean. Staff is very polite and helpful.
The interior design of the hotel's restaurant is superb with this beautiful staircase going to conference rooms. Some of hotel and restaurant's staffs are approachable.
The location is the best, if you have a short musical vacation. Apollo theater and the hotel are literally in the building of SI Centrum connected to each other thru a hallway...
Our room has unobstructed, magnificent view of the Stuttgart TV Tower
The location was convenient, but because Stuttgart's main train station is undergoing renovations, it was quite a long walk to the hotel from the platforms. Hotel is near restaurants, supermarkets, shopping areas. Housekeeping staff on our floor were accommodating. Helin, from reception, was professional, efficient, and helpful. She offered a solution when we told her the problem we had about our room.
This hotel was clean, comfortable, and within walking distance to the city center in Stuttgart. It is located near the university, which was nice to check out on the way toward the city plaza and shopping district. The hotel allowed us to check in early after an overnight flight, so we were very grateful to be able to crash for a few hours in the afternoon.
The room was great. Saw reviews about old carpets but my room was new with wooden floor. Guess the hotel is updating in process. Location was near train station and superb steakhouse.
Train station is under construction which made walking to hotel a slight detour. But not really a big issue to my family with 2 kids, age 3 and 6 years old.
Choosed that hotel because of secure parking. Location is very good and easy to access city center by car.
Next to the hotel, There is shopping mall. this is also plus.
Cleaning was important for us and rooms was definitely clean. I can definitely consider to choose again this hotel if they solve negative points.
Very good location, there is metro and bus station next to the hotel, and metro can go to Stuttgart airport, very convenient. There is nice swimming pool and sauna center, can relax and free. Room is big and clean, even have slipper. Price is good, worth to stay here, either business or travel. Highly recommend.
- Very convenient location that you can go everywhere by train and metro, station is 200 meters away. The city Center is 2 stations from the hotel.
- Good connection with Mercedes and Porsche museums
- Friendly staff who are willing you to help on everything you ask and need
- Very good breakfast
Staff was amazing, very polite and helpful. Room was exceptionally clean, and I love the fact that every room has a little balcony. Additionally, hotel has it's own parking, which is a blessing when it comes to staying in bigger cities.
Perfect location for Stuttgart "Octoberfest."
The hotel is in the heart of Stuttgart, near to the central railway station and very close to the center. We have arrived very late and the hotel provided self check-in option, what was greatly appreciated. the place is quiet, close to everything and nice.
Amazing location if you have a flight from Stuttgart Airport, also pretty easy to get to the city center, the U-Bahn station is right next to the entrance.
Very comfortable, friendly staff, nice bar
Nicely located hotel which is a walking distance to a city center while being a bit outside which is great. I liked the atmosphere - lots of people drinking and chatting. The vibe is great!
Nice location if you dont wanna stay in city center. Room was very clean and quit big for the price we got. Nice and helpfull staff! There is a parking spot for hotel but it costs 10€
We liked the quiet location of the hotel. You can be in the city center in 10-15 minutes by car. The view is very nice and it is really a beautifully designed hotel.
